No spin
Asked, answered honestly.
When can I buy one?
Not yet. Tron Talk is in development and the product is not manufactured. Join the waitlist and you will hear first when the crowdfunding campaign launches.
What does it cost?
Tron Talk Basic is planned at $99, Tron Talk Pro at $150 and Tron Talk Carbon at $200. There is no subscription and no monthly fee of any kind. These are planned prices, not offers.
Does Basic work without cell signal?
No. Basic runs group voice through your phone, so it needs cell coverage. Pro and Carbon talk rider-to-rider over their own radio and work with no cell signal at all.
Will it fit my helmet?
Two mounts are planned for the box: a clip that slips under the helmet padding at the lower rim, and strong adhesive tape. The design is meant for full-face, modular and open-face helmets. Fit has not been tested across helmets yet.
Can Basic and Pro riders talk in the same group?
Yes, where there is cell coverage for the Basic riders. This is the planned design, not yet a working feature.
Is it waterproof?
The design target is IP67 water resistance. That is a target, not a certified result.
What happens if the clip does not break away in a crash?
The clip mount is designed to release under a hard knock. Tape mounted directly on the pod is permanent and does not break away, so we will say that plainly in the manual and recommend the clip if that matters to you.
Who is behind this?
Tron Talk is designed by a working engineer, not a company: a rider who was tired of thick, overpriced intercoms. The full story is on the About page.
